Seeking Female Personal Care Assistant(s) …Pay is $27 per hour
I am retired disabled woman who lives in Berkeley. A former program director, project developer and researcher in the disability field. I enjoy writing, films, a good book, food, and spending time with friends. I am known to have a good sense of humor and appreciate that trait in the people around me. I also appeared in the critically acclaimed film Crip Camp.
I use a power wheelchair for all my mobility. The job involves assistance dressing, showering, some assistance with toileting, grooming, range of motion exercise, light housekeeping, cooking and occasionally run errands. I weigh 125lbs and can stand with assistance to transfer. My current assistant and I will train in all aspects of the job.
Friday 8-11pm
Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday 8a-2p (sometimes need to end at noon.)
Qualifications: reliable and trustworthy, compassionate, excellent communication skills, flexible and punctual, strong judgment and attention to details. Current IHSS provider or willing to be proactive about registering. Valid California driver’s license(ID) and Social Security card. Proof of Covid vaccination.
Strong preference for applicants living in Berkeley, Oakland, Albany, and El Cerrito.
