Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a friendly smile and assist them in seating arrangements to ensure smooth flow of the dining area.
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using reservation system (OpenTable)
- Answer phone inquiries professionally, providing information about services, reservations, or wait times.
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to communicate guest needs and special requests promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station and waiting area to create an inviting environment.
- Handle guest concerns or complaints with patience and professionalism, striving to resolve issues quickly.
- Support overall guest relations by ensuring every visitor feels welcomed, comfortable, and attended to throughout their experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service/hospitality is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with restaurant POS and reservation systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow efficiently.
- Experience working in hotel or restaurant environments is advantageous.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while delivering friendly, attentive service to diverse guests.
