Duties
- Install and maintain fire sprinkler systems in accordance with local codes and regulations.
- Fabricate and assemble piping systems using various techniques including soldering, stick welding, and pipe threading.
- Conduct inspections and testing of fire sprinkler systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Troubleshoot issues with existing systems and perform necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure seamless integration of fire protection systems.
- Utilize tools such as calipers for precise measurements during installations.
- Rig materials and equipment safely on construction sites to facilitate installation processes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Fire Sprinkler Technician or in a related field such as HVAC or general construction.
- Ability to fabricate, assemble, solder, and weld piping systems effectively.
- Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Familiarity with construction site protocols and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.
