Job Responsibilities
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality control plans, work instructions, and quality procedures.
- Assist with root cause analysis and corrective action activities related to internal, supplier, and customer quality issues using problem-solving methodologies such as 8D.
- Support new product and process validation activities through testing, data collection, and analysis.
- Collect, analyze, and report quality performance data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Assist with supplier quality activities, including supplier performance monitoring, audits, and corrective action follow-up.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Production, and cross-functional teams to improve process capability and product quality.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on defect reduction, process optimization, and operational excellence.
- Support the preparation of quality reports, presentations, and technical documentation.
- Learn and apply automotive quality tools and methodologies, including FMEA, SPC, Control Plans, MSA, and 8D.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or similar).
- Strong academic performance with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with guidance from experienced engineers.
- Demonstrated interest in automotive manufacturing, quality assurance, and process improvement.
- Previous internship, co-op, or project experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred.
- Must be available to work full-time during the Fall 2026 Co-Op semester.
