What You Will Do

• You will plan, schedule, and coordinate advanced industrial engineering assignments usually associated with design, process improvement, or manufacturing engineering
• You will troubleshoot engineering issues, with the help of the Quality Engineer, that arise during the Assembly process to ensure quality HVAC components are being manufactured
• You will work with various organization units to review progress and evaluate results
• You will develop and suggest changes in methods, designs, and equipment, when necessary
• Devises new approaches to problems encountered
• You might, on occasion, supervise or coordinate the work of Engineers, Technicians, Designers and others who assist on specific assignments
• You will provide leadership and act as a role model in the areas of Quality, Productivity, Safety/Ergonomics and Training
• You will review daily production schedules with the Master Scheduler
• You will organize and animate Problem Solving Groups with all the functions concerned and supplier representatives to analyze the problem, find the root cause, and define action plans by applying Problem Solving Quality Tools (PFMEAs, Poka-Yoke, and Six Sigma)
• You will fully support Customer Initial Sample submissions with correct documentation to ensure right first time acceptance for all new Service Part Numbers
  
  

What You Should Have

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
• You have 5 years of processes issues in an automotive component manufacturing or assembly plant
• You preferably have working knowledge with PFMEAs, Six Sigma, and Poka-Yoke
