Shift Differential

2nd shift - $2.00

3rd shift - $2.25

Weekends -$2.50

FT (3x12 & 1x4)

Sun-Tues7am – 7:30pm & Wed7am – 11pm

Sun-Tues7pm – 7:30am & Wed3am – 7am

Thurs-Sat7pm – 7:30am & Wed3am – 7am

Responsibilities:

The Behavioral Health Registered Nurse and Licensed Practical Nurse is a member of the CIC team. This individual will use the nursing process, which involves assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation, as the foundation for clinical decision making for all person’s served. The Behavioral Health Registered Nurse and Licensed Practical Nurse works with a multi-disciplinary team to provide and coordinate optimal services for individuals experiencing acute behavioral health crisis. This position requires the ability to be on-call and holidays will be rotated among the disciplines. If there are periods when your primary responsibilities are limited, you may be asked to assist in other areas as needed to support overall operations, regardless of your specific role. This position is essential to operations and must be staffed at all times. Therefore, the current employee in this role will need to remain in place until a replacement is able to assume responsibilities.

Job Requirements: (RN)

  • Graduate from accredited program of nursing education; BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) degree preferred but not required; current Registered Nurse license with Kansas State Board of Nursing required
  • Psychiatric nursing experience preferred but not required
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must maintain Kansas State licensure and appropriate CEUs
  • Must remain current with CPR license
  • Must have a valid Kansas driver’s license, access to reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance.
  • Must have good command of the English language; must be able to read, communicate clearly and therapeutically with persons served and staff, both verbally and in writing, in a professional manner
  • Must have knowledge about medications and their side effects, or at least the ability to obtain the information quickly.
  • Must be proficient at basic computer skills, keyboarding and word processing skills
  • Must be able to pass criminal background check and DCF Child & Adult Abuse Registry check.
  • Assignment at the CIC requires pre-employment drug screening, flu immunization and TB screening prior to starting any position. All must be completed or in process/scheduled to be cleared for new hire orientation. Annual flu vaccinations and bi-annual TB screening are required.
  • Must be able to perform day-to-day physical requirements of the position, including but not limited to- 20% of scheduled time; data entry, answering the phone and computer work, 80% of scheduled time; able to lift up to 50 pounds, frequently moving around the building and community, repetitive moving, carrying and lifting as the job demands.
  • Must be able to kneel, bend, squat, and hold on to a person, in order to restrain an out-of-control person served

Pay: $25.63 - $36.88 per hour
