The essential job function of this position is to provide administrative and clerical support to the CIS Department. This position will also provide back-up to administrative staff at the front desk. Performance expectations for this position are evaluated by the following standards in work with staff, consumers and This position requires a high school education or above, minimum typing 50 wpm, computer skills such as Microsoft Office, Excel, and database skills, and a minimum of one (1) year secretarial experience. This position requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to work independently, the ability to maintain flexibility in work assignments, positive interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Willingness to complete further computer training to enhance ability to solve problems associated with the computer is required. Must be able to perform the day-to-day physical requirements of the position, including but not limited to sitting for long periods of time, answering the phone, data entry into various computer software programs, frequent movement around the building, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Job Requirements
- Licensed Dietician and preferred experience working with individuals with mental illness or in the human services field.
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must have a valid Kansas driver’s license, access to reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance.
- Must have good command of the English language; must be able to read, communicate clearly and therapeutically with person’s served and staff, both verbally and in writing, in a professional manner.
- Must be proficient at basic computer skills, keyboarding and word processing skills
- Must be able to pass criminal background check and DCF Child & Adult Abuse Registry check.
- Assignment at the CIC requires pre-employment physical, drug screening, flu immunization and TB screening prior to starting any position. All must be completed or in process/scheduled to be cleared for new hire orientation. Annual flu vaccinations and bi-annual TB screening are required.
-Must be able to perform day-to-day physical requirements of the position, including but not limited to- 20% of scheduled time; data entry, answering the phone and computer work, 80% of scheduled time; able to lift up to 50 pounds, frequently moving around the building and community, repetitive moving, carrying and lifting as the job demands.
- Must be able to kneel, bend, squat, and hold on to a person, in order to restrain an out-of-control person served
- Ability to work shifts based on the needs of the program.
Salary Range
$25.63 – $33.60
