Junior Accountant – Valens Software (Kennesaw, GA)

Valens Software, developers of ProfitZoom (PZ), provides innovative financial and operational software solutions that help businesses streamline their accounting and management processes. We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our team full-time at our Kennesaw, GA headquarters.

Position Summary

The Junior Accountant will play an integral role in supporting the finance and implementation teams. This position involves performing day-to-day accounting tasks, assisting with financial reporting, and helping train and support customers who use ProfitZoom as their primary financial system. Key Responsibilities

• Support accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
• Prepare and post journal entries; assist in maintaining the general ledger.
• Perform monthly and quarterly bank and account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
• Support payroll review and related reporting processes.
• Help prepare documentation for audits and ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP standards.
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records and assist in developing internal accounting procedures.
• Learn and apply the ProfitZoom financial system, supporting team members and customers in best-use practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (CPA track preferred but not required).
• 0–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience; internship experience welcomed.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
• Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, or similar).
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to work independently and collaboratively.
• High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
