Position Summary
The Junior Accountant will play an integral role in supporting the finance and implementation teams. This position involves performing day-to-day accounting tasks, assisting with financial reporting, and helping train and support customers who use ProfitZoom as their primary financial system. Key Responsibilities
- Support accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Prepare and post journal entries; assist in maintaining the general ledger.
- Perform monthly and quarterly bank and account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Support payroll review and related reporting processes.
- Help prepare documentation for audits and ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP standards.
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records and assist in developing internal accounting procedures.
- Learn and apply the ProfitZoom financial system, supporting team members and customers in best-use practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (CPA track preferred but not required).
- 0–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience; internship experience welcomed.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
- Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, or similar).
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to work independently and collaboratively.
- High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
