Position Summary: Serves meals to residents by performing the following duties.
Department: Food Service
Reports To: Food Service Director
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Prepares dining room for meal service by cleaning tables, cleaning floors, setting tables and cleaning all service areas of dining room.
- Takes food orders from residents and guests.
- Serves meals to residents and guests.
- Observe residents to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed.
- Maintains adequate supplies at food tables including paper goods, dishes, flatware, glassware and condiments.
- Ladles soup, tosses salads, portions pies and desserts, brews coffee, and performs other services as determined by supervisor.
- Clears and resets tables at conclusion of each meal.
- Washes dishes, and other areas of kitchen.
- Assists cook in kitchen as necessary.
- Performs any other duties as necessary.

- Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Maintain current Food Handlers Permit.
