What are the responsibilities and job description for the Painter (Powder coating) 2nd shift position at Valence Opportunities?

Valence Surface Technologies is a full-service surface finishing company specializing in the commercial aerospace, defense, space and satellite industries. With strategically located sites across the United States, Valence provides a start to finish solution from NDT and chemical processing, to paint and sub-assembly.
- Inspect details and evaluate the painting work required for the part.
- Effectively establish the correct paint for the application as flowed down by shop paperwork.
- Mix paints as specified by supplied directions or Technical Data Sheets.
- Prepare and perform minor sanding to detail surface before applying paint.
- Paint effectively on different surfaces and metals.
- Ability to use spray gun or perform other paint methods.
- Able to effectively manage time and complete all delegated work within the specified time.
- Work in a team and coordinate work functions with fellow workers.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in shop conditions and can be in excess of 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

This position requires access to knowledge and technical data regulated by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Valence Surface Technologies is required to verify that applicants meet ITAR requirements prior to employment for this role.
Salary Range: $21-$23/hour
Export Compliance Requirement
This position requires access to EAR or ITAR controlled technologies. Applicants are required to be eligible for employment under U.S. export control laws and must meet the requirement of being a “U.S. Persons”.
