What are the responsibilities and job description for the Winder Operator - 3rd shift - 16.00/hr position at Valdese Weavers?
Job Summary: Will wind quality packages of yarn for Weave Room. Maintain efficiency as determined by Department/Plant Managers.
Tools and Equipment used: Utility knife, scissors, knotter, and apron.
Essential Functions: Perform the following duties according to ISO 9001 work instructions and standards:
- Maintain personal work habits, which meet the demands and stresses of the job.
- Wind yarn onto cones for Weave Room.
- Report spindles making bad yarn to the fixer.
- Report bad yarn to the department supervisor/manager.
- Pack yarn in yarn bins at winder.
- Put color identification stickers in cones of yarn.
Make the required quality checks.
Keep winder area housekeeping in good order.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
