Finish Material Handler - 1st shift -16.00/hr

Job Summary: Move and store fabric as needed.

Essential Functions: Perform the following duties according to ISO 9001 work instructions and standards:

• Move and store fabric as it goes through the Finishing processes
• Maintain electronic records (LXE gun and computer) showing location of fabric
• Prepare fabric for shipment and/or storage.
• Properly identify fabric with appropriate labels and tickets, being sure all data matches.
• Return fabric to proper storage location.
• Keep work area clean. Maintain good housekeeping.
• Work scheduled overtime.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Safety:

• Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers.
• Report all job related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
• Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards.
• Safety belt/harness when using PIT.
• Maintain 5 S standards.

Qualifications:

• Good communication skills with the ability to work well with others.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills. Be able to follow special instructions and directions.
• Forklift license is required for moving buggies and lifting fabric to storage tubes.
• Basic computer skills and use of LXE gun.
