DEPARTMENT: Finishing
REPORTS TO: Finishing Plant Supervisor
SCOPE: Operate needlepunch machine
PPE: Earplugs, safety shoes, and other as required by MSDS
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED: Needlepunch machine, buggies, sewing machine, accessories, and general office supplies
REQUIRED PRODUCTION OUTPUT PER SHIFT:

1. Safety:
- Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers.
- Report all job related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.

- Duties: Perform the following duties according to ISO 9001 work instructions and standards:
a. Sew cloth requiring needlepunch finish together. Be sure all identifying

c. Maintain assigned equipment. Clean according to schedule.
d. Monitor fabric and equipment to ensure quality at every step of the

OTHER JOB ELEMENTS:
- Report problems and quality concerns to the Finishing Manager or
Finishing Plant Supervisor. - Practice good housekeeping and keep work area neatly organized.
- Perform other duties as needed to complete the job or as directed by

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND SKILLS NEEDED TO PERFORM JOB:
- Must be able to read, write, and do basic math. Basic computer skills.
- Good physical condition for pushing and doffing buggies of cloth.
- Good hand/eye coordination for changing needles.
