- Perform technical responsibilities required of a Structural Engineer II/III
- Mentor less experienced engineers
- Contribute to client meetings as department representative
- Demonstrate familiarity with Valdes A&E structural engineering work practices
- Prepare AutoCAD and Revit drawings
- Demonstrate familiarity and expertise in using Revit and Navisworks in 3D modeling
- Prepare structural scopes of work and material take-offs
- Develop a refined understanding of construction drawings such as Plans, Sections, Details, and Piping Isometrics
- Develop familiarity and expertise with prevalent structural industry codes, standards, and practices (i.e. AISC, ACI, ASCE 7, IBC, etc.)
- Demonstrate understanding of client standards and specifications
- Review steel fabricator, concrete rebar, and other vendor shop drawings and submittals
- Perform and document simple structural calculations under the guidance of a more senior colleague
- Demonstrate proficiency in using Risa 3D, PROFIS, MathCAD, and other software commonly used in the department
- Demonstrate continuous technical improvement and desire to sit for the structural engineer (SE) exam
- Verify field conditions, constructability of designs, and assist in resolving problems during field construction
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 3-5 years of experience working as a Structural Engineer
- Refined understanding of statics, dynamics, steel design, and concrete design
- Basic technical report writing skills
- Basic 2D and/or 3D CAD expertise
- Basic Microsoft Office expertise
- Must possess exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
- Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future

Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
