ProXpress- Department Manager (73363)

The Department Manager for the Pro Xpress Division is responsible for ensuring that Valcourt consistently meets and exceeds client expectations on all projects under $25,000. These projects include emergency temporary repairs, leak investigations and repairs, and other small-scale scopes of work performed by the company.

The Department Manager will lead the Pro Xpress team in delivering exceptional service, maintaining operational excellence, and fostering a client-centered culture that reflects Valcourt’s core values and commitment to quality, safety, and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Culture

• Create and maintain a positive, service-driven culture within the Pro Xpress team.
• Ensure that every client interaction reinforces Valcourt’s brand, professionalism, and commitment to excellence.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement across all team members.

Client Experience

• Oversee all client interactions from initial contact through final payment to ensure a seamless and positive experience.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and responsiveness.
• Ensure clients are well-informed and equipped to make sound decisions regarding building maintenance and future capital planning.

Operational Management

• Manage daily operations of all projects under $25K, including emergency repairs, leak investigations, and small-scale services.
• Ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications and company standards.
• Monitor job progress, resource allocation, and quality control to achieve operational efficiency.

Performance & Compliance

• Uphold Valcourt’s commitment to safety by enforcing all safety protocols and compliance requirements.
• Ensure all team members adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Stand behind the quality of workmanship and address any issues promptly and professionally.

Financial & Administrative

• Manage project budgets and profitability for all Pro Xpress jobs within the department.
• Support timely invoicing, collections, and accurate job costing.
• Analyze performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in construction, building services, or related field; management experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
• Proven ability to manage multiple small-scale projects simultaneously.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
