The HR Coordinator (HRIS-Focused) is primarily responsible for the administration, accuracy, and support of the organization’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS). This role ensures employee data integrity, supports HR reporting and compliance, and serves as a key resource for system-related HR processes. The position is ideal for an early-career HR professional with a strong interest in HR technology, data, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
HRIS Administration & Data Integrity (Primary Focus)
- Serve as the day-to-day administrator for the HRIS under guidance from HR leadership.
- Enter, update, and maintain employee data across the full employee lifecycle.
- Perform regular audits to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and system integrity.
- Manage system access requests, user roles, and security permissions.
- Support system configurations, workflows, and business rules.
- Assist with upgrades, enhancements, testing, and integrations.
Reporting, Analytics & Compliance
- Generate and maintain standard HR reports (headcount, turnover, demographics, audits).
- Support ad hoc reporting and data requests from HR and leadership.
- Assist with compliance reporting and audits (e.g., EEO, ACA, internal audits).
- Maintain data documentation and reporting standards.
HR Process & Systems Support
- Ensure HR processes (onboarding, job changes, offboarding) are accurately reflected in the HRIS.
- Partner with Payroll and Benefits to ensure data alignment and timely updates.
- Troubleshoot basic system issues and escalate complex issues to vendors or senior HR staff.
- Act as a system resource for HR team members and managers.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Create and maintain HRIS process documentation, job aids, and user guides.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and system optimization.
- Support HR technology projects and system implementations.
Confidentiality & Data Governance
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee data.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and record retention policies.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1–2 years of experience in HRIS administration, HR operations, or data-focused roles (internships included).
- Hands-on experience with an HRIS or HR technology platform preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Intermediate Excel skills; comfort working with data and reports.
- Ability to learn HR systems and technical concepts quickly.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HRIS platforms such as Paycom, Workday, ADP, UKG, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar.
