Title: Real Estate Appraisal Trainee
Hours: Current Part Time/Full Time 20 Hours per week, Days / Times Flexible – Could develop into more hours and FTE in the near term. This is NOT a remote position. This is a hybrid opportunity where there will be BOTH in office work and training, as well as remote work and training. A final schedule will be determined but consistently maintained.
Compensation: Performance Based Compensation (PBC) based on appraisal diligence and reporting, inspections, tasks completed, etc. Current typical compensation is approximately $800 - $1200 / week.
Location: ValcoMD Appraisal Offices in N Frederick and N Hagerstown. No outside of area travel required

Qualifications: Familiarization with Windows work environment, Internet based searches, Use of MS Office or similar, Reliable transportation, understanding of scheduling and workflow. No Real Estate or Appraisal experience required.
Description: Active and growing Real Estate Appraisal office in Frederick, MD and Hagerstown, MD that currently covers Carroll, Frederick, Howard, Montgomery and Washington Counties seeks individual to grow, support, and train with a State Licensed Certified Appraiser and team. Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
· Prepare diligence for home appraisal from online and proprietary sources (tax records, comparable sales, Multiple Listing Service, Plat Maps, County deed recordings, Valuation Models, AI, Advanced Stats, etc.
· Schedule appointments with homeowners, borrowers, Real Estate Brokers, Lenders, etc. for Appraiser to inspect the property using logistics and scheduling software to efficiently manage time,
· Coordinate and update Clients (Lender, Appraisal Management Co, Attorney, etc.) as to status of the Appraisal,
· Data entry using computerized inputs for an Appraisal,
· Statistical analysis using third party software integrating with other apps,
· Inspect, photograph and document property inspections using tablet and lidar technologies,
· Respond to Clients’ request for additional information for current and past reports,
· Contact potential new clients from company website inquiries and client lists,
· Develop and document policies and procedures for processes and workflow that are used in daily operations,
· Prepare and present statistical analysis of local markets for newsletters and other ongoing research,
· Opportunity to advance to more discretionary and judgment-based positions within the ValcoMD in the near term,
· As well as being open to and sharing ideas to improve workflow, efficiencies, and opportunities.
