Summary
The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the warehouse by performing a variety of tasks, including inventory handling, order picking, shipment processing, shipping/receiving, and maintaining organized storage areas.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments; verify contents against purchase orders.
- Pick, stage, package and process outgoing shipments accurately and securely.
- Maintain organized warehouse areas, ensuring products are properly stored, labeled, and easily accessible.
- Track, record, and update inventory levels in the system.
- Load and unload trucks, operating forklifts and pallet jacks as needed.
- Drive a company truck to pick up and drop off parts, supplies, and materials between facilities.
- Ensure all deliveries and transfers are completed safely, on schedule, and with proper documentation.
- Assist with cycle counts, audits, and general warehouse upkeep.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, reporting any hazards or concerns to management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a company vehicle/truck.
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Team-oriented with effective communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to be on feet up to 8-12 hours per shift
- Use of hands and fingers to perform job function
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, and climb
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
