Vakkar Salon is looking for one stylist who wants to build a lasting career as part of our team. The ideal candidate has approximately 7 - 10 years of experience behind the chair, a polished professional image, a strong work ethic, and the willingness to learn new methods.

You do not need to bring an established clientele. In fact, this can be an ideal opportunity for a talented stylist who wants a fresh start, has plateaued in their current position, or wants to rebuild their career inside a salon that is invested in their growth.

Every stylist greets every client. We help one another throughout the day, support each other behind the chair, and build relationships with all of the clients who visit the salon.

You will have the opportunity to grow your own clientele while also becoming part of a collaborative environment where the entire team contributes to each client’s experience and success.

The Opportunity

You will begin with a guaranteed hourly structure plus tips while learning the salon from the ground up and building your clientele from within.

The foundation of the role includes:

• Learning our consultation, cutting, color, and client-care methods
• Assisting experienced stylists during the daily workflow
• Shampooing and supporting clients throughout their visit
• Booking appointments and learning salon systems
• Helping maintain an elevated, welcoming salon environment
• Building relationships with clients across the salon
• Gradually taking on new clients and developing a loyal book of business

Every member of our team contributes to the client experience. These responsibilities are not the destination. They are the foundation for becoming a successful stylist inside our salon.

Compensation and Career Path

Starting earnings generally range from $27–$32 per hour, including hourly pay and tips.

As your clientele grows, you will transition into commission. Once fully booked, stylists have the potential to earn approximately $75–$110 per working hour, depending on their service mix and productivity.

Our pricing supports meaningful long-term growth:

• Haircuts with a developing stylist begin at $115
• Basic color services begin at $105
• Larger color appointments can reach several hundred dollars
