Mandatory Skills
- Experience in Payer market
- Experience with US based code sets ICD-10-CM/PCS, ICD-9-CM, CPT, and HCPCS or international code sets such as ICD-10-AM, ICD-10-CA, ICD-10, CCI, OPCS, and/or ACHI experience required.
- 5 years equivalent experience in coding or code mapping.
Responsibilities: -
- Strong understanding of medical terminologies, procedures, and ICD coding systems (ICD, CPT HCPCS, SNOMED, LOINC, NDC etc).
- Familiar with electronic health records (EHRs) and clinical documentation.
- Experience with medical chart abstraction and data annotation.
- Detail-oriented with an ability to follow structured extraction guidelines.
- Independently review clinical documents.
- Extract relevant procedures, diagnoses, and concepts.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in annotations.
- Flag ambiguities or inconsistencies in the data
- Detail-oriented with an ability to follow structured extraction guidelines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with machine learning, NLP and AI concepts is a plus.
Educational Qualifications: -
- Clinical background: Physicians, nurses, or healthcare professional.
