Job Summary

The Parking Manager is a critical operations role for Stevens Pass where we can experience up to 2500 vehicles a day arriving at our resort. Within this role you will be responsible for all guest and employee parking, traffic flow, employee transportation, guest shuttles, parking waste stations, communications with governing agencies as well as 3rd party snow removal along the transit route.

Supported by a team of 30 we’re looking for a dynamic Parking Manager to implement but also continuously improve upon best practices identified and developed by Parking leaders from across the Vail Resorts. The ultimate objective of this role is to create a consistent and high level of performance across the Parking team while keeping our guests’ safety and experience our number 1 priority.
 

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of 30; responsible for hiring, scheduling, performance management, staff development, training and the safety of the team.
• Own, personalize and elevate the Parking Department to exceed departmental goals.
• Responsible for the completion of departmental accident and incident reporting, investigate and execute action plans to prevent recurrence of similar incidents.
• Developing a Repair & Maintenance Program for continuous improvement each year.
• Consults in the design of shuttle stops, roadways, parking areas and traffic flow.
• Developing and managing a world class guest service program for the team and taking a lead in all Vail Resorts guest service initiatives.
• Main point of contact for Washington State Department of Transportation (WDOT), State Patrol and Sheriff Department communications.
• Ownership of the readiness, cleanliness and presentation of transportation vehicles and parking areas.
• Participate and collaborate as a member of resort committees, best practice groups and work groups.
• Work with other leaders in resort to cross train, job share and work together as a team.
• Manage the contracts for any services provided by 3rd party supplies (WDOT, waste stations, snow removal etc).
• Ensuring prompt payment and tracking of services provided.
• Responsibility for the Parking budget.
• Plan, develop and execute on capital improvement plans.

Job Requirements
 

Required:

• Dynamic leader; ability to adjust and re-prioritize in a high pace position.
• Operational and/or logistical experience within a leadership capacity.
• Highly organized, energetic, positive, motivated, and the ability to multi-task.
• Experience creating and tracking budgets and expenses.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Comfortable operating outside, in extreme weather conditions for a continuous period of time.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
