PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE
Help our guests build the vacation of their dreams: Ski and Snowboard School Sales Agents are responsible for matching each guest with the perfect lesson experience. You will sell and book Ski & Snowboard School lessons and other products for guests, either face-to-face or over the telephone.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Guide our guests to the perfect mountain experience – finding the right lesson for each guest is key to ensuring that they have a great vacation! As a Sales Agent you will get lots of questions, so you must know not only the lesson products we are selling, but also be knowledgeable about the mountain, special events and the area. You must also be able to learn our booking system, and be able to work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting guests in purchasing Ski and Snowboard School packages that best suit their needs.
- Assuring that all guests have received the best quality of service at all times on their holiday.
- Planning guests’ day by day itinerary with private Ski/Snowboard Instructors.
- Providing guest with a variety of information relating to services, products, special items, resort conditions, special events, etc. Accurately answer guest questions.
- Selling, and printing tickets for, lift access and rental products.
- Answering incoming phone calls and accurately book reservations into our sales and reservations system.
- Preparing Will Call for the following day. Follow up on all unclaimed tickets.
- Balancing cash and credit card receipts at close of each day.
- Maintaining focus and accuracy of work in a busy environment and through many interruptions. Being able to work independently.
- Maintaining positive public relations with parents, visitors and the general public at all times.
- Staying informed about special events and general resort information
- Following The Resort’s etiquette guidelines while interacting with guests and respond to all guests in a courteous, professional manner.
- Meeting EEE Guidelines for Dress and Appearance, Timeliness and Work Accuracy
- Learning and follow Phone and Radio Etiquette guidelines
- Work with a variety of departments throughout Canyons Resort. Work closely with tickets, rentals, concierge and other various departments.
- Performing other tasks as required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Office environment, i.e. sitting, standing and walking in a small area for extended periods of time with few breaks
- Lifting, bending and squatting.
- Frequent phone work; repetitive keyboard action; manual dexterity required
- Exposure to inclement weather conditions.
