Lead Maintenance Tech - Full Time, Year Round - Beaver Creek, CO

The Lead Maintenance Tech duties include, but are not limited to:
- Building Systems - Maintain in good condition and repair the HVAC, boiler and other building mechanical systems (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.) through preventative maintenance programs as well as identifying and troubleshooting problems and emergencies. Maintain appropriate supply of tools and materials to achieve this function.
- Must have Pool & Spa Certification
- Guestrooms & Public Areas - Maintain in good condition and repair all mechanical facets of the hotel guestrooms and public areas through preventative maintenance programs as well as resolving issues raised in work orders through guest complaints, both internal and external. Maintain appropriate supply of tools and materials to achieve this function.
- Safety - Maintain the safe function and organization of the building as well as create a culture of safe work habits throughout the staff. Assist Chief Engineer in developing, monitoring and regularly updating safety and emergency procedures.
- Leadership - Provide direction, coaching and counselling for direct reports maintaining appropriate coverage and on-call program. Model behavior throughout hotel to create culture of safety and organization.
- Homeowner Association - Develop positive and productive relationship with homeowners as well as a working knowledge of the Association documents and maintenance reserve plans.
- Capital and Project Management – asssit Chief Engineer with oversee 3rd party contractors working on hotel capital and HOA reserve projects.
- Responsible for responding to more immediate HotSOS service requests from Guests, Owners and Onsite Management/Staff at hotel and for HOA’s.
- Excellent communication skills with Vendors and Homeowners and Coworkers.
- Performing inspections for work spaces and vehicles.
- Must be available to work weekends, and Holidays and be on call nights as needed.
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or Equivalent - required
- 5-6 years building maintenance experience - required
- General experience in electrical, plumbing, basic carpentry. Hotels and condos - preferred
- 2 years supervisory - required
- Valid CO driver's license - required
- Various technical certifications preferred including but not limited to, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, first aid, boilers, welding, etc.
- Able to read, write, speak, understand and comprehend English fluently - required
- Able to speak Spanish - preferred
- Must have good customer relations skills
- Able to work both independently and as a team
- Strong communication skills and able to be a self-starter
- HVAC – preferred
