What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analyst- Full Time/ Year Round- Canyons Resort in Part City, UT position at vailresorts.valhalla.stage?
Summary: Assist with budgeting, forecasting, accounting and financial processes for Keystone and Tahoe Hospitality
Responsibilities:
Help ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for Canyons Hospitality departments.
Work with operational managers to enhance financial acumen
Assist with creation of operational and capital budget and forecasts.
Assist with month end journal entry process
Assist with purchase requisitions and management of open receivers. Monitor OnBase for problem invoices
Help manage capital projects including opening packets, completing substitution packets, close packets & disposal forms as well as tracking spend for capital projects
Participate in monthly business reviews for properties. Inestigate and review budget and forecast variance explanations. Attend operations meetings as well as establish & maintain relationships w/ department heads.
Perform occassional internal control reviews and make appropriate recommendations.
Assist with ad hoc analysis.
Participate as task force at other properties as needed
Oversee Tahoe accounting specialist position.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
College degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent
2-3 years Vail Resorts or Hospitality experience
Must be proficient w/ computer specifically Excel
Financial analyst experience and strong accounting system knowledge
