Nestled at the base of Vail Mountain, in the heart of the renowned Vail Village, The Lodge at Vail combines a perfect location and exemplary service with the famously classic ambiance of an alpine-inspired Vail resort.
Responsible for ensuring that all Resort guests have the highest quality food and beverage dining experience possible while assisting in the creation of a profitable department that is environmentally responsible. Follows the brand standards from the beginning of the service cycle through the entire dining process.
Essential Job Functions:
- Exhibits strong menu and beverage/wine knowledge.
- Is professional and gracious while enhancing the dining experience through outstanding service skills.
- Handle all opening and/or closing duties required to properly operate restaurant.
- Ensure that all stocking is done, the tables are properly set, and the dining room is clean and ready for service.
- Responsible for the completion of all side work assigned and seeks out additional responsibilities to help the dining room function smoothly when work assigned is complete.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent. -required
- Cash handling experience. -preferred
- Previous restaurant POS experience. -preferred
- Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully in English, both written and verbal. -required
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. on a regular basis. -required
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and move quickly throughout the dining room. -required
- Must be able to work weekends, early mornings and holidays. -required
- Working as a part of a team environment. -required
- Must be able to work outdoors for more than 8 hours. -required
- Minimum of 1 year Server/Waitstaff experience in a high volume restaurant/hotel/resort. -preferred
- Current TIPS certification for responsible service of alcohol. -preferred
- Previous experience at a luxury hotel/resort. -preferred
- Experience with InfoGenesis POS helpful. -preferred
- Conversational Spanish or other languages helpful. -preferred
