Location: Remote (Candidate must reside in the Western or Southwestern United States)

Travel: Frequent travel required (approximately 30–50%)

We are seeking an experienced, client-focused Account Director to manage and grow strategic client relationships across our staffing and solutions portfolio. This role is ideal for a highly motivated professional who thrives in a remote environment, enjoys building executive-level relationships, and is passionate about delivering outstanding client outcomes.


Position Summary

The Account Director is responsible for managing, growing, and retaining strategic client accounts while serving as a trusted advisor to stakeholders. This individual will oversee account strategy, client satisfaction, revenue growth, and delivery collaboration to ensure exceptional service and long-term partnerships.


Success in this role requires strong collaboration with recruiting and delivery teams. The Account Director will work closely with recruiters on a daily basis to ensure alignment on client needs, hiring priorities, workforce planning initiatives, candidate quality, and delivery expectations. The ideal candidate understands both the client and recruiting sides of the staffing business and can effectively bridge the gap between the two to drive successful outcomes.


Key Responsibilities


Client Relationship Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned strategic accounts.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with client executives, hiring managers, procurement teams, and key stakeholders.

Conduct regular business reviews and strategic planning sessions with clients.

Anticipate client needs and proactively develop solutions that support their business objectives.

Act as a trusted advisor by providing workforce market insights, hiring trends, and strategic recommendations.


Account Growth & Revenue Expansion

Identify opportunities to expand staffing, consulting, and workforce solutions services within existing accounts.

Develop and execute account growth strategies to increase revenue and market share.

Partner with sales and leadership teams to uncover new opportunities and drive business growth.

Drive account retention through exceptional service, responsiveness, and value creation.

Maintain a strong understanding of client business goals and identify areas where Vailexa can provide additional value.


Recruitment Team Partnership


Serve as the primary liaison between clients and the recruitment team to ensure successful delivery of staffing solutions.

Maintain frequent communication with recruiters regarding hiring priorities, candidate feedback, changing requirements, and workforce planning initiatives.

Conduct regular strategy sessions with recruiting teams to review open positions, pipeline health, market conditions, and delivery performance.

Ensure recruiters have a clear understanding of client expectations, company culture, hiring manager preferences, and business objectives.

Partner with recruiting leadership to improve fill rates, candidate quality, speed-to-hire, and overall client satisfaction.

Communicate client feedback and market intelligence to recruitment teams to continuously improve delivery performance.


Strategic Leadership

Create and maintain strategic account plans for key clients.

Monitor account performance metrics, service levels, and client satisfaction.

Collaborate with internal leadership to ensure alignment between client expectations and operational delivery.

Provide market intelligence and industry insights to clients and internal stakeholders.

Support contract renewals, service expansions, and long-term client growth initiatives.


Operational Excellence

Partner closely with recruiting, delivery, operations, and leadership teams to ensure successful fulfillment and execution.

Manage escalations and resolve client concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Ensure compliance with client agreements, contracts, and service expectations.

Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline visibility, account plans, and CRM documentation.

Track and communicate performance metrics related to account growth, client satisfaction, and delivery success.


Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of account management experience within a staffing, workforce solutions, consulting, managed services, or professional services organization.

Proven experience managing and growing strategic client accounts.

Demonstrated success in client retention, revenue growth, and account expansion.

Experience working directly with recruiting and talent acquisition teams in a staffing environment.

Strong understanding of staffing operations, recruiting workflows, candidate pipelines, workforce planning, and delivery processes.

Demonstrated ability to communicate client priorities effectively and drive accountability across recruiting and delivery teams.

Experience working with executive-level stakeholders and decision-makers.

Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.

Strong business acumen and consultative problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively across distributed teams.

Willingness and ability to travel frequently throughout the United States.

Candidate must reside in the Western or Southwestern United States.


Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Human Resources, or a related field.

Experience supporting enterprise and mid-market clients.

Background in IT staffing, professional services, workforce solutions, or managed services.

Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.

Established network within staffing, workforce solutions, consulting, or professional services industries.
