Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
- Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and dining areas.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food handling practices.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies needed for daily operations.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and communication.
- Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and sales transactions accurately.
Requirements
- Previous barista or coffee experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clientele.
- Time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for cashiering duties and retail math applications.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and food preparation techniques is advantageous.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is a plus.
