Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager based in Lexington, KY or Columbus, OH to lead and standardize safety practices across all projects nationwide. This role is responsible for driving compliance, strengthening safety culture, and ensuring consistent execution of OSHA-aligned programs across multiple job sites. The Safety Manager will serve as the primary safety leader, partnering with field and project leadership while overseeing safety consultants and supporting continued company growth. The role requires travel (up to 50%) as project needs require. This position has a clear path to advancement into a Safety Director role based on performance, leadership, and organizational impact.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Maintain and annually update the company Safety Manual to ensure compliance with current OSHA regulations
- Review, revise, and standardize all safety forms and documentation annually to align with OSHA and company standards
- Ensure consistent implementation of safety policies across all projects
- Provide oversight and direction to all third-party safety consultants across jobsites
- Conduct periodic job-site audits, inspections, and safety evaluations
- Support project teams in hazard identification, risk mitigation, and incident prevention
- Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning
- Ensure proper documentation of inspections, training, and incidents
- Act as the primary safety leader across all projects and regions
- Partner with project managers, superintendents, and field leadership to reinforce a strong safety culture
- Mentor field staff and safety personnel
- Support or deliver safety training programs (OSHA, company-specific policies, MEWP-3A & 3B, NFPA 70E, etc.)
- Ensure all employees and subcontractors meet training requirements
- Oversee documentation of training certificates
- Communicate safety expectations, updates, and best practices across the company
- Assist in building and enhancing safety processes as the company grows

Minimum Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in safety management, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years of safety management experience in construction
- OSHA 510 certification
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards
- Proven experience managing or overseeing multiple jobsites or regions
