We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Property & Casualty Claims Specialist to join our team in Savannah, Georgia. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing a wide range of insurance claims, including property damage, automobile, liability, and casualty claims, from initial report through final resolution.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys investigating complex situations, and takes pride in delivering fair, timely, and well-documented claim resolutions. You'll work closely with insurance carriers, adjusters, attorneys, and internal leadership to protect company assets while ensuring exceptional claim administration.
What You'll Do
- Manage property, automobile, liability, and casualty claims throughout the entire claims lifecycle.
- Investigate claims by collecting documentation, witness statements, photographs, repair estimates, and other supporting evidence.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between insurance carriers, third-party administrators, legal counsel, claimants, and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain complete, organized, and accurate claim files while ensuring all documentation is current and compliant.
- Monitor claim activity, reserves, settlement negotiations, and resolution timelines.
- Analyze claims data and identify trends that support risk reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with incident investigations and recommend preventative measures to minimize future losses.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, insurance regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Prepare claim summaries, reports, and presentations for leadership as needed.
- Build strong working relationships across departments to ensure efficient claim handling and communication.
What We're Looking For
- 1-3 years of experience in insurance claims, claims administration, claims adjusting, risk management, or a related insurance field.
- Previous Property & Casualty Claims Adjuster experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of property, automobile, liability, and casualty insurance claims.
- Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple claims and competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality while exercising sound judgment and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active or previous Property & Casualty Adjuster License.
- Insurance industry designations such as AIC, CPCU, ARM, or similar credentials.
- Experience supporting claims within a multi-location organization.
- Background in corporate risk management or self-insured programs.
