Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for the hands-on assembly of complex equipment, including mechanical sub-assemblies, plumbing of gas/vacuum lines, and electrical wiring. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and the capability to work both independently and with a small team.
General Accountabilities
- Assembles, installs, or repairs wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
- Inspects, operates, or tests machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Dismantles machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts.
- Performs routine maintenance.
- Diagnoses mechanical problems and determines how to correct them.
- Repairs machines, equipment, or structures.
- Maintains or repairs specialized equipment or machinery.
- Work with purchasing manager on needed parts, supplies, or equipment.
- Read and interpret mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical schematics.
- Performs general cleaning duties of buildings or properties.
- Assist with testing, leak-checking, and troubleshooting completed systems.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean organized work area.
- Collaborate with engineering and production team to improve build processes.
- Experience with plumbing/tubing routing (compression fittings, stainless steel line forming, etc.)
- Basic electrical wiring experience (panel wiring, sensors, cable routing)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in vacuum systems, high purity has plumbing or PVD equipment.
- Machining or fabrication experience
- 2 years of mechanical assembly experience in manufacturing or equipment build environments.
- Experience with plumbing/tubing routing.
- Basic electrical wiring experience.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, schematics, and build instructions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
