We are recruiting on behalf of a global industrial company headquartered in Atlanta for an accomplished Vice President of Tax. This is a high?impact leadership role within a collaborative, business?focused culture that values tax as a strategic partner. The Vice President of Tax will provide strategic and operational leadership across U.S. and global tax compliance, provision, planning, and strategy. This role will lead and mentor a team of 4-8 tax professionals and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, driving value, efficiency, and risk management across the enterprise. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading all domestic and international tax compliance and provision activities
- Developing and executing tax planning strategies aligned with business growth and risk objectives
- Managing global tax audits and serving as the primary point of contact with external advisors and authorities
- Driving process improvements, automation, and efficiencies across the Tax function
- Supporting M&A activities, including due diligence and integration from a strategic tax perspective
- Partnering cross?functionally with Finance, Legal, Treasury, and business leaders to support operational and strategic initiatives
- Building, mentoring, and developing a high?performing Tax team, with a strong emphasis on talent development and succession planning
The successful candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong leadership capability, and a passion for elevating the Tax function as a value?adding business partner. Qualifications & Experience:
- CPA designation required
- Master's degree in Accounting or Tax
- Big 4 public accounting experience
- Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, and/or distribution companies or clients strongly preferred
- Demonstrated career progression with prior experience leading Tax functions or teams at a similar level
- Expertise in U.S. and global tax compliance and provision
- Experience supporting M&A transactions from a strategic tax perspective
- Proven ability to drive efficiencies, enhance processes, and improve tax operations
- Superior people leadership skills with a track record of developing and advancing top talent
- Collaborative, solutions?oriented mindset with the ability to influence across functional lines
- Stable career history demonstrating long?term impact and commitment
