Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join a well-established manufacturing company specializing in highly engineered products for the plastics industry. With nearly 100 years of success and a strong market presence, this privately held organization offers a stable, collaborative, and family-oriented work environment.
This role provides the opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to a wide range of accounting and operational functions while partnering closely with company leadership. The Staff Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close activities, payroll processing, and administrative initiatives, while also assisting the CFO with special projects and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, including billing and collections
- Assist with month-end close activities, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Process payroll and generate payroll-related reports
- Support various Human Resources and administrative functions
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely processing of transactions
- Collaborate with the CFO on special projects, reporting initiatives, and process improvements
- Assist with ad hoc accounting and operational tasks as needed
- Accounting background with experience in AP/AR and general accounting functions
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains is highly preferred
- Familiarity with payroll systems/software is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Technically savvy with the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
- Detail-oriented with strong communication and problem-solving skills

- Typical hours are 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM with some flexibility
