Seeking a Senior PHP Web Developer with 5 years of experience to manage custom PHP / Symfony applications, oversee MySQL and MongoDB environments, while driving continuous improvement in an iterative development setting.Must Haves / Mandatory:
- 5 years of professional experience in PHP development, with hands-on experience in Symfony or similar frameworks.
- Proven experience managing MySQL and MongoDB databases and maintaining server environments.
- Experience working in continuous integration (CI) and iterative development workflows.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and debugging skills across both backend and server systems.
Nice to Have / Preferred:
- Experience with CMS platforms or custom homegrown applications.
- Knowledge of API integrations and cloud hosting (AWS, Azure, or similar).
- Familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for minor UI adjustments.
Qualifications & Responsibilities
- Lead the development, maintenance, and enhancement of custom PHP/Symfony applications, ensuring high performance, security, and alignment with organizational goals.
- Manage and optimize server environments and databases (MySQL, MongoDB), including backups, indexing, deployment, and troubleshooting to maintain uptime and reliability.
- Implement and support CI/CD pipelines, iterative development practices, and continuous improvement methodologies to streamline workflows and enhance code quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver feature enhancements, technical solutions, and iterative improvements, while contributing to code reviews, documentation, and mentoring of junior developers.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize both application code and server performance to meet evolving technical and organizational objectives.

- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
