This role is essential to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the organization's financials, with a strong focus on grant reporting, compliance, and general ledger management. The ideal candidate will bring a solid understanding of non-profit accounting principles, strong reporting skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis
Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP and non-profit accounting standards
Lead or assist in grant tracking and reporting, including restricted/unrestricted fund allocations
Support month-end and year-end close processes and financial statement preparation
Prepare and analyze grant budgets, and collaborate with program staff on fund utilization
Coordinate with external auditors and assist with audit preparation
Maintain internal controls and assist in policy documentation
Contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting processes
Provide timely financial reports to management, donors, and external stakeholders
Support compliance with federal, state, and private grant requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3-5 years of accounting experience; non-profit and grant reporting experience strongly preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with MIP ERP is a plus
Strong knowledge of GAAP and fund accounting principles
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communicator with the ability to translate financial data to non-finance staff
Self-starter with strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
Salary : $40 - $45
