Director, Operations Finance & Strategy


Our client, a consumer-focused technology and services company, is seeking a Director of Operations Finance to serve as a key financial partner to operations leadership during an exciting phase of growth.


Location:
This position is primarily remote in the Bay Area, with occasional travel for in-person collaboration in Orange County.

Job Description:
This highly visible role will drive financial planning, operational performance analysis, and strategic decision-making across a complex, high-volume operating environment. The ideal candidate combines deep operational finance experience with strong business partnering skills and a passion for improving processes, profitability, and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning activities for operations and supply chain functions
• Partner closely with operational leadership to drive cost optimization, profitability improvements, and strategic decision-making
• Develop financial models, performance metrics, and reporting tools to support data-driven business decisions
• Analyze operational performance, capacity utilization, margins, and key business drivers to identify risks and opportunities
• Support capital investment evaluations, business initiatives, and operational improvement projects through financial analysis and recommendations
• Collaborate with Finance and cross-functional business teams to support strategic initiatives and organizational goals
• Lead and develop team members while ensuring high-quality execution and timely delivery of key finance deliverables
• Identify and implement process improvements that enhance planning, reporting, and operational effectiveness
  
  

Requirements:

• 15 years of progressive finance experience within complex, high-volume operating environments
• 5 years of finance leadership experience supporting operations, supply chain, manufacturing, or related functions
• Strong FP&A, financial modeling, forecasting, and operational finance expertise
• Proven ability to influence senior leadership and drive decision-making across a matrixed organization
• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and business partnering skills

• The individual's skill sets, experience, and training;
• Licensure and certifications;
• Office location and other geographic considerations;
• Other business and organizational needs.

With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco by Highspring notes that the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
