What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Receivable Specialist position at Vaco by Highspring?
Vaco has partnered with a client in Indianapolis, IN to hire a full time Accounts Receivable Specialist. This person will need to work primarily onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and verify invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment
- Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared
- Perform daily cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits, updating and distribution of cash receipt logs, and posting of cash to the accounts receivable sub-ledger
- Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting clients via telephone, email, and mail
- Prepare analytical and ratio analyses relevant to A/R so management can gain a better understanding of how collection efforts are progressing
- Support other accounting and finance team members, inventory management, and cost accounting
Qualifications:
- 1 year previous experience in accounts receivable processing
- Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping
- Superb time management and detail orientation
- Proficiency with MS Office tools
- Ability to keep company and partner confidences
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and one of the commonly used accounting ERP systems, such as Oracle, SAP, NetSuite

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
