SUMMARY:
A Senior Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Administrator will serve a pivotal role in delivering a Product Lifecycle Management system that connects engineering with functional supporting departments and domains. This position will coordinate with all functional departments within the company to ensure the PLM system and implementation support the business needs and dynamically interfaces with other business systems such as but not limited to Customer Relation Management (CRM), Enterprise Resource and Planning (ERP) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). This is a strategic leadership role that hinges on building effective relationships to automate existing procedures through the use of PLM software and drive innovative changes leveraging industries best practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to translate business requirements into specific PLM solutions, by identifying gaps in business processes and transforming them into PLM improvement initiatives. Develop and document AS IS and TO BE Solution Specification for team members to work from.
Evaluate business objectives that require new enhanced processes, integration requirements with other technology solutions in conjunction with subject matter experts.
Requires excellent problem solving, oral and written communication skills, effective presentation skills to demonstrate concepts and solutions that are clear and concise.
Project Management skills to deploy simple to complex business systems integrations to generate one true source of information and timely and accurate flow downs to the next process or consumers of information. Business systems integrations may be but not limited to Business Intelligence, Customer Relation Management, Enterprise Resource and Planning, Product Data Management or Manufacturing Execution Systems.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Delivers a strategic vision of how to utilize a Product Lifecycle Management system across the organization that meets the company’s goals and initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience preferably using PLM systems such as Teamcenter, Enovia, Windchill or Autodesk Manage in an engineering and manufacturing environment. Possess strong and effective interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written. Possess analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead and motivate direct reports to meet company set deadlines and achieve common goals. Working knowledge of MS computer software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or Information Technology and a minimum of 8 years of related experience in an Aerospace Engineering and Manufacturing environment.
Must have direct experience with Product Lifecycle Management systems.
Teamcenter PLM experience is a preferred or an equivalent in an Aerospace Engineering and Manufacturing environments
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time, walk and reach with hands and arms as well as some bending and/or stooping. Occasional light lifting of reams of paper or books up to 20 lbs. or equivalent may be required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Majority of work is performed in a typical office environment with no major sources of discomfort. Essentially a normal controlled working environment with noise levels within acceptable safety limits and acceptable lighting and temperature conditions.
