Duties
- Prepare a variety of fresh sandwiches, salads, and deli items according to company recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems such as ECRS POS to process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Manage food service customer orders with professionalism, ensuring timely delivery and satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, kitchen equipment, and workspace in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist customers with product selections, upselling items to enhance their experience and increase sales
- Handle cash register operations, process cash and card transactions, and balance cash drawers at shift end
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including slicers, ovens, and refrigeration units, adhering to all safety protocols
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or quick service/fast food restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as ECRS POS is advantageous
- Strong understanding of food safety management, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Retail or grocery store experience that includes customer service and sales transactions is a plus
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Basic math skills for cash handling and processing transactions accurately
- Proven ability to work well within a team while maintaining attention to detail in food quality and cleanliness
