We welcome and value the contributions of every member of our community, including students, families, staff, and community partners.Job SummaryUnder the administrative direction and supervision of the school site administrator and/or the Behavior Analyst, employees in this classification are primarily responsible for student behavioral and/or social support in school. Responsibilities may include behavior and socialization training, on-site problem solving and plan adjustment based on function, and data record keeping. The Behavior Assistant will collect frequency and trial-for-trial data and may engage in play-based instruction, discrete trial instruction, and/or implementation of an Applied Behavior Analysis treatment model. Employees in this position will transition students to less restrictive educational settings and may be required to provide assistance to address skill deficits and to promote the development and use of alternative behaviors to students with extreme behavior issues. This position requires immediate response during instructional settings in which students may exhibit intensive undesired behaviors and required additional support during instructional periods.
