Position Overview
Vacaville Dental Care is seeking a motivated Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant (DA) to join our private practice. Led by Dr. Truong, our office combines advanced dental technology with a compassionate, family-oriented approach to patient care.
We are looking for a professional who excels in the clinical setting but also has the aptitude and interest to learn the administrative side of the practice. Core Responsibilities
Clinical (Primary Focus):
- Assist the dentist with restorative and cosmetic procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Manage digital dentistry workflows, including intraoral scanning (CEREC) and CBCT 3D imaging.
- Maintain strict sterilization protocols and infection control standards.
- Ensure patients feel comfortable and well-cared for during their treatment.
Administrative (Training Provided):
- Note: Prior front desk experience is a bonus, but not required. We will train the right candidate.
- Learn to manage the appointment schedule to optimize patient flow and production.
- Assist with answering phones, triaging patient calls, and coordinating treatment plans.
- Gain proficiency in practice management software (Dentrix) and insurance verification.
- Support the front desk team during busy periods to ensure a seamless patient experience.
Candidate Qualifications
- Intelligent & Adaptable: You pick up new skills quickly, whether it's a new software program or a clinical technique. You are comfortable switching between assisting a procedure and helping at the front desk.
- Strong Work Ethic: You are reliable, proactive, and take pride in doing a job well.
- Communication Skills: You can speak clearly and professionally with patients and colleagues.
- Certifications:
- Required: California Radiation Safety Certification (X-Ray).
- Required: Current BLS/CPR Certification.
- Required (Effective Jan 1, 2025): 8-Hour Infection Control Certification.
- Preferred: Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) License.
