Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with a focus on both residential and commercial spaces.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to maintain cleanliness.
- Execute floor care procedures such as buffing and polishing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained.
- Conduct thorough cleaning of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas, ensuring high standards of hygiene.
- Assist with residential painting tasks as needed to enhance the appearance of facilities.
- Carry out custodial duties in commercial settings, including offices and retail spaces.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or needs for replenishment.
- Support facilities maintenance by identifying and reporting any repairs or maintenance issues.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure all areas are clean and well-kept.
Experience
- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Skills in floor care practices, including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types.
- Knowledge of residential painting techniques is advantageous.
- Experience in facilities maintenance or porter services will be considered beneficial.
