Va. Truck & Trailer Sales, Inc. is currently seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Lot Attendant. As a Lot Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dealership by maintaining the organization and cleanliness of our vehicle lot.
Responsibilities:
- Arrange and park vehicles in an organized manner on the lot. Vehicle types will range from 2-coupe car to semi road tractor and dump trucks.
- Ensure all vehicles are properly labeled and marked with accurate information.
- As vehicles come in, being able to clean them out, remove any/all trash and debris as well as de-identify them by removing previous company logos/unit numbers to prep vehicles for sale.
- Perform regular inspections to identify and report any damage or issues with vehicles.
- Keep the lot clean and free of debris.
- Assist with moving vehicles as directed by the sales and service departments.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as refueling vehicles, checking tire pressure, and jump starting.
- Collaborate with the sales and service teams to ensure efficient lot operations.
- On a daily basis, dumping the trash, sweeping and keeping the shop area safe and orderly.
- May drive to pick up parts locally and occasionally deliver parts/vehicles within the State, on an as needed basis.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles. REQUIRED
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to complete tasks with little to no supervisions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify vehicle damages
- Physical ability to walk, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Pre-employment drug testing and random testing due to state contracts
- Forklift operation is also preferred, but not required.
