Commercial Vehicle Sales Person & Operations Coordinator- Prior Dealership Experience Preferred

VA Truck and Trailer Sales, Inc., a small family-owned dealership specializing in heavy trucks and highway safety equipment, is seeking a detail-driven sales professional to champion the sale of pre-owned commercial vehicles. This hybrid role blends front-line customer service with vehicle financing, inventory management, digital marketing, and service department coordination.

Responsibilities

Sales & Financing

• Guide clients through the commercial vehicle selection process, including test drives and feature explanations.
• Prepare quotes, purchase documents, and assist with DMV hard/temporary tag issuance, titling, and registration.
• Manage financing: submit credit applications, work with financial institutions, and finalize loan approvals.
• Promote protection plans, service contracts, and aftermarket accessories.
• Follow up with leads and past customers to drive repeat business.

Marketing & Inventory

• Photograph and post vehicles to dealership and third-party sites.
• Conduct intake inspections and assist in pricing based on internal benchmarks and market trends.
• Maintain accurate and appealing digital inventory listings.

Service Department Collaboration

• Coordinate inventory prep with the service department—ensuring vehicles are ready for display or delivery.
• Track open service tickets and partner with the billing agent to streamline communication and workflow.

Operational Support

• Answer phones, greet clients, and provide general clerical and admin support.
• Assist across departments as needed to keep the dealership running smoothly.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Eligible to apply for a Virginia Motor Vehicle Salesperson License (background check required).
• Comfortable inspecting vehicles including truck cabs and dump bodies.
• Previous dealership or automotive experience preferred.
• Knowledge of dealership management systems or DMV electronic titling is a plus.
• Able to lift up to 20 lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions.
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Team player with a customer-first mindset.
