Qualifications:
Specialized Experience GS-6: You must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-05) in the Federal Service, that is directly related to the work of the position and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties as a Transportation Assistant. Qualifying specialized experience includes Handles incoming and outgoing calls, Processes mail and scans claims, Performs administrative and/or clerical tasks, Communicates with internal and external customers daily, Creates/Sends a schedule daily. Responsibilities:

- Builds customer confidence by professional dress and demeanor.
- Review eligibility of each Veteran before finalizing Beneficiary Travel reimbursements.
- Attends to all details of voucher processing to prevent the processing of fraudulent claims Research payments for reimbursement when requested by Veterans, Supervisor or the Mobility Manager, coordinating with the Fiscal office when required.
- Prepare data processing report for daily batch review
- Prepare and audit Beneficiary Travel voucher daily batch for errors
- Coordinate daily with all vendors for Special Mode Transportation
- Review eligibility of each Veteran before authorizing Ambulance Bill payments
- Schedule and reserve tickets for eligible patients requiring airline transportation
