Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Pipefitter to join our team. In this role, you will work in various industrial settings. The ideal candidate must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Review and comprehend CADD drawings and diagrams, blueprints, sketches, fabrication drawings and submittals for projects
- Fabricate and install piping without drawings to reference (field route)
- Layout work ahead of welders
- Measure, cut, weld, assemble, and install pipes
- Use a variety of hand and power tools
- Work with other construction professionals to complete projects
- Follow all safety guidelines
- Complete all tasks in a timely matter
Employment requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Pipefitter
- High School Diploma or equivalent (experience may be substituted for education)
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Possess current, valid driver’s license (not under suspension or limitation)
- Have the transportation means to report to multiple job sites as assigned
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug tests throughout employment
Job qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)
- Knowledge of how mechanical equipment works
- Strong arithmetic skills, including calculating complex offsets
- Knowledge of all relevant health and safety guidelines
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting heavy objects and withstanding temperature extremes found in boilers, paper machines, manufacturing facilities, etc.
- Ability to work Monday-Friday with occasional overtime during afternoons, evenings and weekends as needed
