Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on vehicle electrical systems, transmissions, suspension, brakes, and other mechanical systems using schematics and advanced diagnostic tools.
- Fabricate parts or modify existing components using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair needs.
- Knowledge of powertrain conversions a plus.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues in automotive systems including HVAC systems, air brakes, automotive electrical systems repair, and soldering as needed.
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Dealership experience is preferred for familiarity with manufacturer-specific schematics and repair procedures.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
- Ability to interpret schematics accurately for precise repairs; experience working with automotive electrical systems is a plus.
