V2X is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our Engineering team in Indianapolis, IN supporting the development and integration of advanced software/firmware/hardware systems including store control electronics, mission computers, avionics, sensors, certification and mission equipment for airborne and ground platforms.
The Systems Engineer will act as a engineer throughout the development life cycle, from concept development, requirements definition, functional analysis, design review support, system implementation, integration, verification, and validation. The Systems Engineer will work within a cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT), where effective communication and team building skills are critical to success.

Required Skills
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain an Active DoD Secret Clearance
- At least two (2) years of related engineering experience in systems, software, or hardware engineering
- Familiarity with requirements development, hardware and software integration, and requirements verification
- Exposure to development, integration, and testing of systems for air, sea, and/or ground platforms.
- Experience with test execution, including assisting in test plan and procedure development.
- Ability to support Trade Studies and analyze technical data under guidance.
- Understanding of technical standards, principles, theories, and concepts with a willingness to apply them in problem-solving.
- Ability to collaborate within multi-discipline teams and contribute technical insights.
- Self-driven with a strong sense of accountability, able to manage tasks and deliver quality work on schedule.
- Experience with MS Office Suite of tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with agile development methods to deliver engineering solutions
- Familiarity with DoD standards, processes, and regulatory requirements for defense systems development.
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering methods, tools, and languages.
- Previous collaboration with cross-functional teams on complex engineering projects.
- Understanding of hardware/software interface design and integration best practices.
- Current Active DoD Secret or higher Clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related STEM discipline.
