Job Description
Provides daily supervision and oversight of all work center or specific task at the direction of more senior contractor managers and contractor maintenance control for the operational activities in maintenance of aircraft and equipment. Defines and assigns worker responsibilities, functions, and operations. Ensures full and effective employment and compliance of assigned personnel. Implements policies, practices, and revisions to existing policies and practices as required to meet company, contracts, and order requirements. Recognizes and pursues changes in contract scope and/or workload requirements. Manages all activities of maintenance department staff. Communicates with customer and contractor personnel at all organizational levels. May release aircraft safe for flight.
Requirements
Education: Associate’s Degree, or Trade License, or germane A&P, FAA, IT Certification or equivalent experience.
Experience: Four years of aircraft maintenance material support within NAVAIRINST 3710.1(series) or CNAFINST 4790.2 (series) equivalent maintenance systems. Four years of maintenance management or work center supervision experience. Two years of NAWC/ NAVAIR experience. Demonstrated technical knowledge of aircraft and aircraft maintenance facilities, machinery and equipment. Demonstrated experience utilizing aircraft maintenance data systems to execute and manage aircraft and equipment maintenance. Demonstrated aircraft logs and records administration or auditing experience. Ability to interact effectively with personnel at all organizational levels. Demonstrated use of supply/ logistics policies and procedures.
Other desired experience: Aircraft maintenance quality assurance experience.
Experience: Three years’ experience performing functional duties for the position assigned independently. Three years’ experience supporting aviation maintenance. Demonstrated knowledge of supply/ logistics policies and procedures. Demonstrated use of technical publications and guidance. Demonstrated use of equipment logs and records and specific experience in the position assigned. Experience with CNAFINST 4790.2 compliance.
Other Desired Experience: Experience performing analysis on logistics data. Two years NAWC/ NAVAIR experience

Physical Requirements/Working Environment
- May work in Aircraft maintenance hangar or outside.
- May be required to respond to a wide variety of operational circumstances, including extreme weather conditions and rudimentary infrastructure.
- May be exposed to extreme noise from turbine and jet engine aircraft.
- May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles; may be exposed to electrical shock hazards or work near moving mechanical parts, vehicles, or aircraft.
- Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day.
- Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
- Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp, or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
- May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
- May be required to see aircraft in flight, read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools.
- Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales.
- Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
- Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
- May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, APU, etc.
- May vary by location.

- The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company’s base pay compensation for locations in the state of Maryland and may be modified at the discretion of the company.
- Maryland Salary Range:
- USD $103,000 - $106,000
