As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you will serve as the lead for securing modernization initiatives across the enterprise. This role is responsible for architecting, implementing, and maintaining robust cybersecurity solutions that ensure compliance with DoD standards. The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will work in close coordination with engineering teams and mission partners. This position requires a forward-leaning, proactive approach to cybersecurity integration across the architecture.

Position will be located at Los Angeles SFB.

This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X.

Responsibilities

Major Job Activities:

• Serves as the security engineer representative on systems engineering teams for the design, development, implementation, and/or integration of secure networking, computing, IA architectures, systems / system components and enclave environments, and operations maintenance with system and network administration responsibilities.
• Implements cybersecurity requirements aligned to overall architecture.
• Designs, develops, and tests standardized IaC/CaC across BIM.
• Provides Tier 3 engineering services.
• Maintains, configures, and analyzes network and host-based security platforms.
• Uses command-line-level activities to configure, troubleshoot, analyze, and navigate system-level actions.
• Assigns access level and/or privileges based on user’s need to know.
• Enforces Enterprise-level established security policies.
• Conducts vulnerability scanning and analysis of systems and tools.
• Formulates and implements security certification methods for BIM Task Order.

Office environment with potential to support austere locations.

Qualifications

Education / Certifications:

• Technical BA / BS Degree; Or
• High School Diploma or Associate Degree.
• DoD 8140.01 Intermediate compliant, IAM Level III, CISSP, and CISM.
  
  

Experience / Skills

• 7 years with BA / BS Degree; Or
• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer for large, complex programs / systems with a High School Diploma or Associate Degree.
  
  

Clearance Requirement

• This position requires an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret (Tier 3) level clearance.
