Overview

Under the supervision of the Site Manager, the Operations Supervisor performs a variety of administrative and logistics functions in support of the GCSMAC III Contract Task Order (TO) operations. The Operations Supervisor will oversee completion of the day-to-day requirements of operations, and the submission of various technical documents to include Statement of Work (SOW) and accompanying pricing schedules; submissions tracking and statuses, incident reports, compiling data for required briefs, and other documents as required, while providing subject matter expertise to the team. Crossover and support for the V2X Quality Control Program, and eventual responsibility for overseeing project Q/C requirements intended. Close coordination with our primary subcontractor will be essential for sustainment operations. Responsible for conducting internal checks to ensure quality of work, adherence to company administrative policies, and acts to promote a positive and compliant safety culture throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Job Activities
    • Coordination with the Site Manager(s) for day-to-day activities, ensuring tasks are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with organizational standards and USG requirements
    • Ensure documentation issued and received is organized and maintained in SharePoint for easy access and tracking
    • Gathering data and information required from subcontractors, and report submittals to ensure standardization
    • Facilitates the collection and consolidation of documents, certifications / training, site visits, monthly reports to PMO, etc.
    • Compilation and submission of daily project reports.
    • Ensure that all contractual reporting requirements are met within the established timeline throughout the TO, and tracks submissions
    • Provides oversight and tracks USG Site Visit Requests
    • Assist the Site Manager(s) with day-to-day operations, provide supplemental supervision and oversight to subcontractors and on-site activities.
    • Coaches, teaches, and mentors junior employees to ensure a safe, capable, and ready workforce, as well as ensuring the timely completion of V2X directed training.
    • Improve documentation quality and consistency by ensuring reports, briefs and documentation are clear, accurate and standardized to reduce ambiguity and errors in execution
    • Ensure documentation meets contractual and quality requirements and is submitted within stated timelines
    • Utilization of internal software to track expenses and submit reports.
    • Ensures all necessary materials and equipment are ordered, inspected, and are available on-site to accomplish the job.
    • Provides input to develop and implement initiatives to enhance operations.
    • Ensure Employees comply with Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) requirements.
    • Provides guidance, consultation, and mentoring to all assigned personnel, creates and develops work instructions, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    • This role is intended to crossover and support the V2X quality control program.
    • Responsible for program level compliance and continuous process improvement to include developing, maintaining and periodically reviewing procedural documents for all task orders.
    • Primary point of contact for USG and Corporate quality/compliance audits. Must have an in-depth understanding of contractual requirements and operational processes for all task orders.
Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education if degree is required.
    • 4-Year degree from an accredited college/university, or 2-Year technical degree in applied sciences with applicable experience.
    • Must be U.S. citizen.
    • Must possess a U.S. driver’s license.
    • English proficiency.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain JBPHH DBIDS (all gates) clearance. This clearance is prerequisite to finalization of the employment process.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years operations/construction management experience, evaluating operations and business functions and recommending improvements, modification, and changes and familiar with applicable resources / tools.
    • Proficiency with MS Office suite
    • Must have at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
    • Knowledge and experience with project submittals, RFIs, and construction processes required
  • Skills:
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
    • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, and Outlook).
    • Organized and efficient with attention to detail and excellent follow through.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Strong leadership skills with ability to effectively lead teams and influence others.
    • An experienced leader and mentor with strong delegation skills.
    • Strong writing skills
    • Adept at communicating with various stakeholders to manage expectations and maintain positive relationships.
    • An understanding of NAVFAC/government contracting processes.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:
    • Responsible for all assigned operations personnel.
  • Working Conditions:
    • Must be capable of working in hot/humid weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
    • Adjustable to changing weather and environmental conditions
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
    • Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
    • Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
    • Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and EM-385 requirements.
